AIC Constitution & Mandate

The official operational framework for the ADROIT Innovators Club.

1. Introduction and Core Purpose

The ADROIT Innovators Club (AIC) is the official, on-campus student chapter of the ADROIT Software Development and Versatile Community (ADROIT SDVC), a non-profit organization focused on technical education and social impact.

The AIC is designed to eliminate the proficiency gap between traditional academic syllabi and current industry demands by fostering a culture of innovation, mentorship, and applied learning.

2. Membership, Structure, and Governance

2.2 Roles and Powers

Faculty MentorInstitutional & Oversight Role: Responsible for verifying the execution of events and giving feedback to ADROIT SDVC. Has the right to report to ADROIT SDVC on the execution quality of any club event or evaluation.Required Approval: Must grant approval for any change in core AIC rules, removal/addition of any Team Head, and all financial expenditures over a set threshold.
PresidentFull Personnel Authority: Has the power to hire and fire any member (including Team Heads). Operational Freedom: Can execute events and change schedules at any time with the Mentor's prior approval of the schedule. Mandate Notification: Must immediately notify ADROIT SDVC core members when any faculty or student requests a lecture or specialized event, for action planning.Appeal Mechanism: If any member (especially a Team Head) objects to a personnel decision, they retain the right to appeal to the Faculty Mentor for final binding arbitration. Requires shared written approval with the Secretary for spending club money. Conduct: Must maintain professional conduct and communication (Official correspondence is primarily in English).
SecretaryFinancial/Resource Control: Can initiate requests for ADROIT SDVC resources. Has a mandatory veto power on any club spending (President and Secretary must jointly approve expenditure).Compliance & Documentation: Responsible for keeping detailed, written records (on email/document) of all financial decisions, activity reports, and member credit submissions to ADROIT SDVC.
3. Curriculum, Evaluation, and ADROIT SDVC Authority

3.1 Activity Mandates and Execution

  • President's Responsibility: It is the President's mandatory responsibility to ensure that all AIC curriculum assignments and ADROIT SDVC mandates are delivered on time.
  • Expert Sessions: The President must ensure that all AIC members attend mandatory expert lectures and workshops assigned or recommended by the ADROIT community.
  • Student/Faculty Requests: If any faculty or student requests a specialized lecture, workshop, or event on a particular topic, the President must immediately notify the ADROIT SDVC Core Team to facilitate the event planning and expert allocation.

3.2 Evaluation, Marking, and Final Authority

  • Initial Marking: The Faculty Mentor is responsible for evaluating how well activities were executed, ensuring fair and strict adherence to exam and evaluation protocols set by ADROIT SDVC. The Mentor provides the initial marks/scores for each event and session.
  • Final Authority (ADROIT SDVC): ADROIT SDVC Core Members retain the final and supreme authority over all marking, evaluation, and certification validity. They can change marks, demand re-examinations, and revoke certificates to maintain integrity.
4. Operational Compliance and Resource Confidentiality

4.1 Digital Presence and Reporting Mandate

  • Club Subdomain: Upon successful official establishment, the club will be granted a subdomain name for the official ADROIT SDVC website.
  • Website Responsibility: It is the joint responsibility of the President and the dedicated Blog Team to keep the events active and push all details to the website's repository.

4.2 Resource Confidentiality Rule

The most important rule: all resources (hardware, software, projects) remain strictly within the ADROIT SDVC network and cannot be shared externally.

4.3 Contribution Opportunities

AIC students will gain unique opportunities to be official contributors to upcoming top-notch projects and internal open-source projects managed by ADROIT SDVC core members.

  • Documentation & Finance: Keep detailed, written records of all finances, major decisions, and activity reports.
  • Compliance & Rules: Be the club's authority on AIC rules, ensuring compliance is met by all members.
  • Recognition: Ensure accurate and timely submission of credit documentation to ADROIT SDVC for member recognition.
